Was 24 volt , but the thing has been converted to 12 volt in a very poor way.
They would have been better leaving the thing alone.
I run twin batteries and separate isolation switches which is handy for running the fridge in the back.
Didnt the 24v ones come out with a waterproof distributor of some kind?
The 24 volt distributor ,wiring and water proof coil is what I need to refit, but I want to convert the water proof 24 volt distributor to electronic before doing so and I have not found time yet to match up a electronic system to the odd ball 24 volt distributor.
I have all the parts but not the time.
The 12 volt system is high enough, but the standard coil location is in line with the engine fan blades and the distributor is at the extreme front of the motor.
What this means any water down the fan tunnel and your a dead duck.
This time I crawled into the water and got to over the front tyres and almost to the sparkplugs, but soon as the water got to the bottom of the fan it was end of story.
Still not bad as the engine is far hgher than most vehicles.
At speed a 15cm puddle will stop it as the water is splashed in to the fan tunnel.
