    2000 TD5 for us.
Took me 2 years to get a genuine tub (had a timber lined tray when I bought it).
Did a clean swap with someone in QLD, long story.
But talk about being in the right place at the right time, and I mean that, I would have given myself 10min either way and would not have happened.

Anyway, only have done a EGR kit, gearbox overhaul, fuel pump, stainless sleeved clutch master, new steering box, rear shocks.
Would like to upgrade the chip, intercooler, front shocks, and a Mantec snorkel.

My apologies if this reply has not gone where I anticipated, I am not yet familiar with this forum but no doubt will improve.

I answer the general post. "130 owners who are you?"

As of two days ago ie 9 Mar 2011, I am also a 130 owner.

Sorry too dark every time I think to get out the camera but it will come.

So for those able to assist I am after some info.

Purchased this 8/2000 TD5 cab chassis with an aluminum "shed" on the back. I mean its huge, with side gull wings and two spare mounts on rear. Purchased off the internet from Victoria without seeing it in the flesh. When it arrived courtesy of Toll Auto Logistics I discovered it had an extra 200mm or so behind the drivers seat.

Further research shows it has a SUTI (Single Uniform Type Inspection) listing in RTA NSW records as a "Big Cab".

This originally had three seats but now only two so not the "Crew cab". How many of these things are there? I am starting to think I am very privileged indeed. I can recline the drivers seat and nearly have a sleep (whilst parked...)

    Anyone else got one?

And secondly how to deal with a very cantankerous Range Rover stuck in the garage and now very jealous of said Defender taking up primary driveway position....Nevermind I will always fire up the old V8, 5 cylinders just don't quite do it but love the reduced fuel consumption.

Hi Old Rangie, I have one as well as several others on this forum.Spudboy, Jbell110 own one each and there are others who I can't recall right now.. Spudboy is converting his to a fully fledged camper at the moment. They were used by Telstra as central australian service vehicles apparently, hence the high level of equipment.I use mine as a mobile workshop and as a versatile camper as well.I live near Dungog so am not too far away.I have seen one other in the "flesh" , passing it on the New England Highway near Maitland and a fellow club member in the Newcastle Rover Owners 4WD club has the box body on the back of a hybrid 120 he has built up.Cheers, 130man.

    Karratha plenty a 130

I have just recently moved north to te pilbara, I thought I would be sad and devoid of other connoisseur 4x4 owners,
how wrong can you be so far I have bumped into three 130's one in my street.
A few single cab ute's a 120 whatever that is under the Australian sun, a 110 county heaps of brand spanker ford thingy's which suprised me as I thought so devoid of Land Rover dealerships no one would be game enough, one is owned by th local copper obviously a good bloke.
And I met a nice chap who owned an ex Australian Army 130 looked like my ones brother just a bit more hammered, it runs on a tdi as it was a gs vehicle.
here is a picture of my 130 enjoying the enviroment

    Our 130, love it!

This is on the way home from the Lake Eyre Yacht Club Regatta held last year at Lake Killamperpunna. It was a great time had by all, unfortunantly they wont let us sail on the big lake because of damage to the environment.(LOCALS)

So its off to the Cape instead in September.
