You should be able to buy rivets at any GOOD hardware store. I used aluminiums one on my county when I converted it to an Extra Cab. This was so I didn't get corrosion in the ally body due to indifferent metals. There are "water proof" or "water resistant" rivets. They go in the same way and you don't need a special tool, just a good pop rivet gun. They are sealed at the blind end. Most are open and you can see the other end of the pin,
these you cannot therefore don't let the water in. In theory anyway.
