Perhaps the 1gauge is also worth checking out?

Hi Ranga.
Yes, I am impressed with this multi function gauge. Especially that it will alarm for any parameter that's playing up in the back ground.
Does anyone know if it is 52mm in diameter, as per standard gauges?
It's price at $200 plus senders is great.

Definitely not 52mm for the Madman, more like somewhere between 55-60mm.

Thanks Cripse. (I know that P51!)
I was interested in the diameter should it not fit in a standard instrument pod which seems the case. Ta.
I can see I need to sit inside my cabin and soak up the ambiance, to get creative with my fitting options.

At the moment I have a temporary plate I bought with two 52mm holes cut in it to hold my new boost gauge and Madman on the dash of my D1. The Madman diameter was larger so I ground out the hole to get it to fit. In the next week or so, Dave (Blknight.aus) is fitting up the rest of the sensors on the Madman and changing my rubber coolant hoses to silicon ones. I ended up buying a Mudpod (see below) to instal those two gauges, plus the VDO temp gauge when the Madman sensors are completed. I went looking around for other diameter binnacles/pods but with two different diameters for the gauges, this seemed like a good option.

I fitted mine in 2011 and it's great . I mostly drive to EGT and since putting it on really back off on hills. I had warped the exhaust manifold when I first bought my td5 defender because I was still pushing it hard up hills. Now I really drive slowly or lower gears on all hills. I also have the oil temp on the transfer case . Thought about putting a second switch in so I could flick between engine oil and transfer. It is definately worth the money
For the coolant alarm alone. The size is almost perfect for td5 instrument cluster I dremilled out the old engine temp and put it there .
