Hi Rick,
I'm looking for tyres for my 99 130 at the moment for a simpson trip. Just interested to hear what you think of the Maxxis 762s for road noise? Typical muddie? They don't look all that aggressive so thought they might be reasonably quiet.

They howl, but you can't really hear them over all the other noise in a Deafener :D
I think they could be a bit soft/er in the sidewall than the BFG's, I definitely have to run more pressure.
I quite like them, but interestingly one of the miners i know tells me that they didn't do to well in a test in the pit against the BFG's and Coopers.
Pretty well tore up according to him, but I run mine over gravel/dirt/shale roads all the time and they still look ok and I'm not easy on the equipment.
Th 130 rims, are classed as heavy duty rims, they are the same as Wolf rims, which are also heavy duty rims, they come tubless in Oz, but you can get them tubed as a option in the uk, and other markets. I am told the heavy duty rims, sold in oz, were all tubes up until the puma coming here??????
Looked at a new 130 Puma last weekend, they are definately tubed.
FWIW I have a mix of tubed and tubeless HD130 rims and mines a '98 build first registered in '99.
Ok, it's one tubeless out of six rims, but it shows you could get either a long time ago here.
If someone wants to search, I've posted part #'s up several times over the years here.
