Thread: Durex for the Defender.

Now were living so close to the sea , all the spots that the body black have worn of the chassis and under gear are developing a little surface rust.So to combat this today I sprayed / injected another 2ltrs of lanotec over ,in and arownd every thing chassis related.
Last weekend I had pressure washed the whole 130, then hot washed the under side so it was nice and clean. An amazing amount of pindan, plibara, murchison, and desert heavy gravel was left behind on the wash floor.
Any way I took it into work , put it up on ramps and let fly with a blend of lanotec and turps. About 75% lano to 25% turps, just anough to get it realy viscous and flowing into all nooks and cranies. The sun came out and assisted the evap of the turps and a good coverage/ skin has already formed , its nolonger dripping sheep.
I will keep an eye on it over the following year and see how well it stands up to the elements/ use.
A couple of Border collies did try and round me up whilst at the bottleo on the way home though.
