I'm planning on shipping my Defender to South America (Valparaiso) early next year, is any one interested in sharing the cost by using a 40' container?
No, I was actually born in Spain a while ago, but we want to spend a year or so in South America, apparently its much cheaper for two vehicles in a 40'er than one in a 20' box.

After ten or so pretty faithfull years the Red TD5 was replaced by the white Puma, I never did like the red anyway, most of the gear transferred across pretty well, the exception was the bull bar which didn't fit so I lurched out and bought a new ARB one.
I reckon I put in about 70 kgs of sound proofing material, the roof rack went back on this was a long ARB one and a short one that I bought from the damaged and coupled together, all in all I'm happy with the result. One thing I have found significantly different is how much better the Puma drives and handles especially on gravel roads, can't work out why. Anyway it will be home for the next 12 months or so.
Great stuf Carlos. So when are you heading out? If you are doing the South America trip you really should blog it so we can all enjoy. Sounds fantastic.
