    Aust. army landies????

Help, this is driving me nuts...............can anyone tell me how land rover lost the army contract after more than fifty years with them?
their has not been much discussed in the media about it......after all it must have been one of the longest car contracts in history and what about the money side of it? Not exactly a small sum by any standards?

G'day Scallops, I had my engine light stay on and ended
up being a dirty sensor on the air flow meter.
A quick clean and all ok. Hope this helps to ease your mind
    a bit.

I suspect mine might be a similar issue - the engine bay is covered in talc like dust so I'll get some Contact cleaner and give it a clean up. Thanks.

I believe it was because Land Rover could not supply Defenders for the time specified by the Defence forces (15 years?) due to the new Defender coming in a couple of years.

I still believe the Defender's issues are just protestations against being ignored in favour of Matilda. You need to spend quality time with both an an equal basis. But if the issues with them are wearing too thin consider getting one neutered so they don't produce offspring. All you need now is a busted-arse series 2 and you'll go mental.

    How is yours coming along?
Scallops I wrote that all wrong, what I mean is I think all this stuff is a result of the new common rail motors. I'm not convinced that ANY manufacturer has perfected it yet.
