With my (puma) 110, the only reliable part has been the motor. The drive train has been the real issue.

The light has remained off - vehicle drives as it always did - which is well - so when it goes back into Austral to have the steering box and Uni replaced I'll get an ID on the error code.

All the electrical wires under the bonnet - which are bare - is it just me, or should these all have boots?

PS - Simon and Andrew - I'm fully aware that Grover is just being kurt due to his Auntie Matilda getting all the attention - so I gave Grover a nice bath in McGuire's car suds and polish as I gently suggested to him that I really need to be on the recieving end of some trouble free km's - otherwise, I continued on, whispering gently in soothing tones - IT"S OFF TO THE KNACKERING YARDS (used car lot) WITH YOU - YOU CRAPPED OUT HEAP OF JUNK!

Hi Scallops, quite a few of the connectors in the engine bay of my 110 don't have boots. (Perhaps this is to show people that have owned TD5's there is no oil in the loom??).

I see. So you've made them related to avoid any incestuous liaisons.

Although that just means if there are any, the barstard offspring will be deformed.

Scallops,i wonder who has more factory fitted original parts,Matilda or Grover?

One may be jealous of the other

Whats wrong with the steering box,is it leaking?

Paul - this isn't a tough one to call - I mean, Matilda is 100% original, as is Grover - but unfortunately, in terms of a reflection of Solihull's quality management - Matilda's parts are largely original, original.

    precisely your point.

I do gain much satisfaction from having a true classic.

And yes - steering box leaking - plus, front Uni joint crapped out - # 2 for me - God I'm a hard man.

Must be the way you drive it

Matilda's power steering box shouldn't leak in a hurry anyway.I remember the old man always having front drive safts rebuilt on the Series one though. And fuel pumps.

I am just hoping Justin's gets to 52k or so before it is out of warranty,so hopefully everything should be sorted.

Its all fun,if everything went smoothly life would be boring.

Umm,it appears the Puma now has a smashed windscreen, suppose i will hear that story tomorrow

PS I'm off to see about trading in my 110 in today, not sure on what yet. The continual reliability issues are one thing, but LRA's habit of twisting the knife is the real killer.
