    Thanks for that.

I assume they are much brighter?
Also - does one have to dril out the existing holes to fit the NAS lights?

As far as brightness goes - I had to change a bulb in one last night in the half-dark.
When I put the new bulb in and it started flashing I had to turn off the indicators before I could screw the lens/reflector back onto the base - it was too dazzling with the light flashing.
BTW - I found out once I'd pulled it apart that I could have just undone the bulb holder from underneath the guard.

They were fitted by the previous owner, so not sure about drilling out the holes. There is a hole about 30mm in the panel - just big enough diameter to get the plastic bayonet bulb holder through. Not sure if that was standard or if it was enlarged for the lights.

    Hi
Thanks for that. I understand the NAS lights require a 40mm hole - l'll take off one of mine OE lights and measure the hole.

What model vehicle do you have?, if your lights have twist in light holder then the NAS light will be a straight swap. To get the NAS lights to fit on the county we had to file out the holes in the galvanised capping slightly and add bulb holders from an older model defender.

I think you can get after market lights that look like NAS spec lights that dont require any modifications to the vehicle, not sure of make.

The NAS spec lights were no brighter than normal lights however they spread the light over a much larger area and seem brighter.

    cheers
