No Need for a spring compressor, Lift the vehicle by the chassis support bracket for the rear of the radius rod, (you'll have to replace one side at a time), and allow the suspension to droop to the shock length. Support the axle with a trolley jack and disconnect shock bottom and lower the trolley jack. A small bottle jack positioned on the axle housing where the bumpstop hits, and the other end where the edge of the bumpstop is mounted and jack away. Push the shock up by hand, and The original springs will then just drop out and you can fit the newer ones. The NRC9448/9 's aren't THAT long, but watch the brake lines when jacking down.
