You will not "reclaim" travel just bump stop height., travel is set by the lenght of the shock/binding point of the suspension links

I think 130 fronts are a good option, depending on what sort of ride you are after they will be firmer then 110 fronts. You could let the front springs settle with the weight and just add a coil spacer to lift it back up if you want a smother ride.

read this thread and then decide......... me personally if i owned the latest model i would wait for the outcome from this thread....

I fitted 130 springs to my Puma, ARB bar winch ect with no issues and little height change. I think now they have been in about 14 months and have settled in well. Yes use a spring compressor, much easier particulaly if your sway bar is still fitted. I also suggest you wait for Povmans problems to be sorted. As to spring rates, the standard 110 numbers NRC8044 and NRC8045 are 155/215 variable rates as the heavy duty fronts (or 130 fronts) are NRC9448 and NRC49449 are are 225 non variable. I am also thinking about 130 springs as I also have a new bar and winch.

If I do decide, I will be getting LR to fit them!!
OK, so they will charge like the wounded bull to fit them most probably but at least if any problems should arise it becomes their problem.

thanks mate..... considering the spacer option,,,,,,, cant imagine the 130 coils would feel much harsher ,,,,defer is not a cadillac

will seek some spring rate data,,and look at the numbers re;rate differences between 110-13-

technically i should regain the 10mm+ compession travel with the 130,s,,,,,,,,,?!

have been keeping close eye on this one...........!..........


if coil lengths of 130 f/spring are identical ,,,one can assume......the status should remain normal........t.y.

cheers mate ............... just the data i am after............did you percieve a defined difference in ride quality,,,,,,,,harsher????

did the vehicle sit relativly level with the 130 springs f-r.?

there is some method to your madness.............reading the good bad and ugly on the puma i dont blame you,,,,,,,,,,,, the main plus for fitting myself ,,is i get to know the vehicle more intimetly ..... the arb bar fitting was a breeze thank christ ,,,,,,,,,daniel from MULGO ,,was kind enough to offer his workshop to me ,while i was in the big smoke picking up some steps /bumperettes etc ...
