I originally chose a 130 as a touring vehicle as the smaller cab size helped the air-con. in my opinion the air works quite well, so is not a problem.

Engine noise will be adressed with body deadner. The back seat situation in the new 130 is unacceptable. I lose my box for the water bladder and the kids cannot do long stints in those seats. The lower hanging gearbox is also a problem in the Puma. I use mine hard and drag its belly already.

Sounds good get the Td5 running sweet... Don't puch it too hard tho..... I think a few mods but don't take it too far as it might bite you back.

You can get some good sound deadner kits for them. Should transform the vehicle.

    Good choice mate.
By sounds your 130 is pretty sweet by now.

Just leave it as it is and buy an investment property or 2.
Buy them new if you can and by the time the depreciation and negative gearing is taken into account plus capital growth you will have made the value of a Puma every year in income and net asset value.

Good choice.Good for sticking to the original theme of landrover where they are to last a lifetime with bits made to be bolted on and off to get them going and had a life companion so to speak.

I too have a healthy car allowance, I drive a paid for Disco and pocket the rest. Sure I pay more tax but I get it all back at end of year.

    Hope it all works out.
