    Great outcome

I was going to say great compromise, but there's no compromise at all, it's a win-win

Lardy, I meant that 130 CC's have been $50k plus for about ten years.
That was the RRP when I bought mine just off lease eight years ago.

Yep. Pretty happy with the result there and it does make a lot of sense really. That way, the wife gets a new car and we still have a second hand one to take through the bush. Which makes a lot of sense to me We were thinking about getting a 40,000 Patrol or Landcruiser or whatever (I wasnt keen for obvious reasons), but realistically it makes much more sense to still have a sensible town car, and a car that we can take the future family away in Which I think is about as good as it gets. And as far as I am concerned, the 130 ticks all the right boxes. No shortage of space, and you can just chuck all the gear in the back with out having to worry so much. So thank to everyone who has had input and chucked in your 2 c. Muchly appreciated

    Great choice!

I have a 130, 300Tdi and its great. Love the added room the tub provides and the smaller cab compaired to the one ten which means you dont stay frozen throughout those cold trips!

klappers if you are after a reasonably new 2nd hand car then the Citroen C5 compares VERY well against the Mazda 6 - much more luxurious for the money. We nearly bought as Mazda - until we drove the C5.

If you weren't so far away I;d sell you ours (coming off lease)....
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

You know I had a nightmare once that I owned a Citroen D series... I woke up in cold sweats... Sent a shiver down my spine. My family has owned Peugeot's for decades and there is no way in hell that I am ever going to own another French car... Sorry mate

Interesting - I have owned Citroen D series for over forty years - and found them, particularly the later ones, very reliable. But now getting hard to find parts for!

Dont get me wrong, I never said that they weren't reliable. My old mans 504 had done over 600,000km without trouble. I just cant do it. Having said that, I would almost (not quite mind you) own a 205GTi or 405Mi16
