How long is a piece of string?

Rotor life all depends on the usage of the vehicle. Live in a hilly city & it could be as low as 15000 - 20000km.

Live in a flat area in the county & they'll outlive the car.

About 120000 km out of my first set on a Defender Tdi ute, for what I would consider "average" driving - about 75% city, some country, some towing, etc.

I can't remember the cost to replace them sorry.

never once in the UK did i ever have to have work done on rotors...

Brake rotors and other components life is dependent entirely on vehicle usage - how many hills, loads carried, and most importantly, driver habits. Best example I know is in the first London-Sydney marathon in 1971? the Citroen team had two cars which were placed very close - same road, same time, identical vehicles etc, different drivers. One went through three sets of pads, the other replaced them once even though they did not need it.

My 110 is on its second set of rotors - first at 150,000, and the second is still in excellent condition at over 500,000. (I bought the car at about 80,000)

    Disc replacemnt.

Should get well over 120000km on reasonable driving before changing discs. Trying DBA rear discs at the moment and they are doing well. At the price it is probably more economical to just change them rather than machining unless you have the lathe at home.

Recently had my rear rotors replaced at 120000k's. (2006 Td5) All sorts of driving involved.

It would seem that the original pad material is harder than the rotors.
