Thread: Have you seen this County??

Found another County the same spec as the one I am chasing, its VIN was SALLDHMV7BA****** So I can assume the VIN I am chasing is SALLDHMV7BA399538. I have typed this into the vicroads VIN checker and......... doesn't recognise it. Anyone got any ideas?

No guarantees it is still registered in VIC.

My 1987 3.9D 110 is SALLDHMZ7BFXXXXXX Note that the vin decoder says that means CKD. I am not sure if the V8s were also built here as CKD - which would change your VIN. It is possible that number is the engine number, but you would have to check with others on that.

You haven't got very lucky with this have you?

has anyone got a 3.5 carby engine number I can compare with ? The vin i got was a vehicle exactly the same as what i am chasing so i gather all V8 county's sold in australia were built in Solihull, and the Isuzu's were a CKD, (which is interesting in itself!) Also, does anyone know of a way you can look up what Vin should be matched to which engine number??

Wet weather has allowed me to get back on to this, forgot about it for a while there! Just wondering if anyone out there has a engine number from a 3.5 v8 county to compare with a number that I have. I just am trying to work out whether the number I have is an engine number, or the end of the VIN number.

My V8 County engine number is 355327887, if that helps. (My VIN is the same format as the one you listed previously but different last 6 digits so hopefully your engine number will follow the same format).

I'm in WA, my County did spend some time in Vic but doesn't match your description so can't be the one you are looking for.

I hope it's the one you are looking for because I would love to sell it to someone who will pay for sentimental value because there is not much else!

Sadly it started life white so I dont think we have a match.
