    Hi,
I was down at a local Nuts 'n Bolts place yesterday, and they had a Kingchrome highlift for sale.
I asked if I could try it for fit on the defender - Not happy with the fit. Loose as.
I will try out an ARB highlift to see how it fits.
When I was researching bars, I was impressed with the design of the TJM bar and the 'T' shaped slot that was designed to take the highlift, though I only saw images of the bar and jack.
    cheers

Do yourself a favour, and if you definately want a High Lift Jack, buy a genuine HiLift branded jack.Mine is over 20years old,and if you manage to break shear pins etc,you can still buy parts, and it is solidly made, which some I have seen leave a bit to be desired.

The real problem for us 130 types is that we cant get at the rear x-member with a hi-lift due to the tub (or tay) overhang.
As for the rear 130 Hi lift points, you can always build them into the sliders, as can be seen under the center of the ladder.

How do these work in real life ? Anyone used them in anger on a TJM bar ? I've always worried that the jack would bind in the t slot as you lifted the vehicle whereas a round hole would allow it to turn.

the ARB bar on "The Mistress" has the round holes to suit a standard jack or my preference is a highlift with adapter
