Had a bit of rain here in Gappas today. More on the track - toward the Goyder. Alfred said once it starts to rain in that direction you usually have a few weeks to get through the river.
Hope the weather experts are right when they said these are just a few intermittent outbursts from the sky... the real wet season is due after Christmas. Then again who really knows ....

Hope Alfred is right - and I'm sure he will be and the rain does hold off till after Christmas... (says Mum again)

So how many hours to go until finished? It sure looks the goods now though I do notice that you haven't painted the wiper arms or the door handles in white

Thanks for the compliments and encouragement It is appreciated very much indeed.

We still have a few bits to finish off, but plan to head out at the end of next week. It will be about a four day drive to Darwin to meet up with Sharon & Alfred and then we will drive in to Gapuwiyak with them...probably a good one days drive in from Darwin. (depending on track conditions).

In the meantime, we hope to take the car for a "reasonable" test drive - around 1000ks-ish - before we head up north....just to give it a bit of a run and test out any issues..

Rather sort out any problems around here than halfway across the Barkley.
