Thread: Puma Horns. Easy fix to stop them filling with water.

My Puma Horns stopped working the other Day.

I gave them a fair drowning up the Cape a few months ago and over time they have rusted out/bugged themselves. One went then the other. After testing I confirmed they were both stuffed. I think even continuous heavy rain would also ruin them over time concidering where they are positioned.

Two new ones from Landrover fixed the noise problem.

I attached the new horns in the origional place but have rotated them 90 degrees so the horns opening face the outside left and right sides. This way they do not have a chance of sucking in any water that gets stuffed inside in their normal position. Same noise and loudness, maybe even a bit louder.

Thought it might help you to keep away from the dealership!

Thanks for that one. I went through some deepish water a few weeks ago and the first time i blew my horn after it was all muffled cause it was full of water. I hope the rust hasn't already set in. ha. I'll give that one a go.
