How on earth can one state have rules for something like this? Should be an ADR surely?
This of course will only apply to vehicles registered in Victoria.... how stupid is that? Oh, sorry, it is Victoria isn't it
.
The trouble with the defender is that it has a one tonne payload and the 130 has a 3500KG GVM as well as they can carry 5 people so they are not in a defined area of road legistation meaning that it's anybodies guess as to weather they need stability control or not. Pat
It is my undersatnding that the ADRs do not require airbags to be fitted to any motor vehicle in Australia (non-commercial or otherwise). However there are rules relating to accessories (such as bullbars) that require them not to interefere with the correct operation of fitted airbags.
Out of interest, here is a link to the Vic situation: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/...anuary2011.htm
