Hi Vlad, I just changed the steel rollers for nylon ones, (from ARB ), when I fitted synthetic rope. Much easier than trying to adapt a alloy fairlead.

Cheers,
Ok so here's my bar:
The obvious slot is for mounting a roller fairlead and there are bolt holes etc to suit. There is also the braclket for the horizontal rollers (projects forward from the front face of teh bar).
I don't think this would be suitable for a syntehtic rope as it could rub on the prohection (as described above)
There IS another hole behind the number plate - can just make it out in this shot:
Is that designed for the simple aluminium fairlead usually seen with synthetic rope winches?
Would it be a good place to puit the fairlead?
What's that hole actually intended for ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Cheers,
Top holes (behind plate) are for High Mount...
Alloy fairlead will just bolt on to lower bolt holes... No mods necessary...
These work better on the ARB
Or do as suggested and go Nylon / Polyurethane rollers..
Be aware the rope can still catch in the corner of the rollers though.
What Tombie said. That's what is on the ARB bar on the Puma. Much lighter than the roller fairlead.

Tombie I didn;t know this bar was high-mount compatible !
So there's no issues with the rope rubbing on the bar protrusion (that holds the horizontal rollers normally) when using the alloy fiarlead as per your post ?
Tim I have never seen plastic rollers didn't even know they existed.

No issues at all....
Or if you wish to clean it up, take to the protrusion with a grinder!!!!
Thats what I've done on the Vitara winch bar here.
Roger Smith, the Dynamica rope man has nylon roller kits for conventional roller fairleads.
OR... look into poly Hawse...

If we didnt have a flood levy you'd have a spare $64.00
Really not bad considering you need a mould made etc...
Jeep | Daystar | Polyurethane Rollers | Winch Roller Fairlead : Tellico 4x4
Rollers here are $34.00 USD
In a highmount bar, that protrusion is needed to stop the centre face of the bar from flexing. A low mount bar doesn't need it because the deck of the bar stops it from bending, but the highmount bar doesn't have a deck - so this does the equivalent job.

Sorry slunnie I don;t follow - us this bar suitable for a high mount winch ? Ionly thought it was designed for low mount ones.
