Yep found a couple in my few week old PUMA (MY13).
I still remember lifting the floor mats on my brand new MY03 TD5 defender (built in South Africa) and finding a few cigarrette butts.... ;-)

Mine was rattling loose under the plastic side panels in the back of my 90... just behind the passenger seat and forward of the side windows.
when fitting my right hand side gull wing door the other day, noticed that one of the hold down bolts that hold the side onto the tub, just below the side window was.............missing! So it would seem as though LR give the lads in the plant the exact right amount of bolt and nuts and if at the end of the day they have spares they chuck them into a defender/defenders so that there are no left overs!!!!!
must check the other side soon.
cheers

If you remove the plastic trim under the rear windows of a Puma, you'll find that exact nut (with captive washer) under the bottom edge of the window and roughly towards the center of the window. It helps to join the upper and lower body sections.
aha! I've found 2 or 3 of them and the dealers answer was to... throw them away! I will see if they should still be there...
