    Anyone on the brissy northside?

Atm I'm on the lookout for a 110 defender ute. And have found what looks to be a tidy one, the only downside is its a fair drive away.
What im asking is, Is there anyone on the northside of brissy with a 110 defender ute that i could have a quick sit in just to make sure im too hunched over or cramped up.
    Cheers,
    Joe

Make sure you sit in a ute as it different to the wagons. I originally looked at the ute but the seating position was impossible as far as I was concerned..it is very cramped and you can not move the seat back because of the back of the cab. Good luck

Indeed. The problem I had in my ute was the fact my head hit the top rear of the turret - uncomfortable. But otherwise a VERY enjoyable truck. In the long run, though, it was a deal breaker.

My advice is to look at a 130 twin cab, assuing it suits your other requirements.

I have considered a 130 twin cab, but plan to carry a dirt bike in the tray. So not quite long enough unless I spend the extra money to get an extended tray and the hassle that will most likely bring.

Is the seating position the same as in a series 3 swb?

I have a 130 single cab ute and although I'm a snug fit it's not uncomfortable.

I'm 5" 10" in the old money and weigh 100 Kg.

Unfortunately I'm away from tonight till the 22nd of Feb.

Do you mean the 130 or the 110.

If you are back to talking about a 110 ut the issue is not so much theseating position itself as where the head is in relation to the turret (well, that was teh case fro me anyway).

I get what you mean. I was thinking of the bulkhead behind the series 3 seats. But thinking about it, are series 3 seats even adjustable? Guess I've just got to track down one to have a sit in.

So i took a trip up to british off road and sat in a few defenders they had for sale.

Main problems i had were a big steering wheel intruding into leg space and pushing down on pedals, more than sideways.

So is it possible to get a smaller steering wheel (not a sports one, but something subtle)?

And im still yet to drive a ute, but think i should be okay to drive it. I know understand why every defender driver hangs their arm out the window.
