    Which insurance?

Looking at maybe getting a 130, and wondering who you guys go with.

Best quote I've had for a 95 130 crew cab is ~$480 (Budget Direct), but they don't mention anything about market or agreed value.

JustCar want about the same for a market value of $12,000, which doesn't come close to the purchase price. Agreed value must be discussed on the phone.

CGU can't do an online quote with the details I provide.

I'll start ringing around tomorrow, but would appreciate any suggestions.

I got my 1994 Defe insured for an agree value of $ 16500.

Check what cover they have if you are off bitumen. Some policies won't cover you and some specifically exclude damage caused at 4wd parks.

    Hi

I am with Shannons for both my defenders. Mainly because they are the only big insurer that will insure an personal import ( for the 90 ) . But I am very pleased so far with them. Have fully comp and glass cover. And been with them for 5 years. And can Pay monthly at no extra cost

I tried a few when I first needed insurance and found just car a bunch of cowboys and gave you a cheap price but valued your car at half it's market value

    Ranga,
I don't know about agreed value with RACQ, but I have found them very good and competitive.
When we killed the previous car at Fraser Island the whole recovery, accessing, and payout process when seamlessly. They were transparent and fair with there payout sum.
If you have break down/road side assist it adds further to your policy and emergency accommodation, hire cars and some other bits.
They cover off road 24/7 Australia wide as long as you are not in a competition.
I will be looking for agreed value with them once the new car is over 2 years old, up until then it's new for old no matter what has been added to the vehicle.
    And guarantee all repairs. I'm paying $610 for a 2010 130

It's one thing to sit at home in comfort and consider insurance prices, but it's another to be stranded hundreds of Klm's for home, with a dead car full of kit, and two tired little children.
BE CAREFUL with the cheapest price, you get what you pay for.

    Could not agree more

Many people in Brisbane affected by the floods will second that

Might be cheap but try and get money out of them when you have a claim

suncorp was by far the best for me by several hundreds of dollars both for premium and agreed value.

Just rang them and they told me unless I'm a motoring enthusiast or involved in the motoring scene, they can't cover me?!
