Just noticed in pics of this new xtech model coming out in March in the UK and here later on (I expect) that there's no rear washer or wipers either.

I'll have to buy one to tow the Jet Ski:

Can you imagine the conversation in the LR board room?

Engineer: "Rear wipers are essential for the removal of dirt and mud from the rear window"

Marketing: "the roads in Chelsea are sealed and this is where our market lives"

Stylist: "the black nozzle thing and that arm thingy interupt the lines that we are looking for"

Accountant: "That should save 20 pound per unit added to the bottom line"

Chairman: "all in favour of deleting the rear washer wiper?...done....next item on the agenda...'Project X-4wd'....the 2wd Defender"

Oh, and the space saver tyre, we'll put that under the drivers seat.

And here I was complaining about there being no net pocket thing inside the back door anymore! Cheap bar stewards!

Both LRAu and LRUK websites list "Heated rear screen and rear wash wipe" as a standard features on Defender Station Wagons. Indeed, they are list as standard on all but dual cabs, pick-ups and cab-chassis variants.

Most amusing.

I have been trying to give away a mid 80's county 110 rear door for a while. Maybe I can find a Puma owner that is interested - it has a complete washer and wiper setup!!!
