They are just a standard 7" round headlight, available anywhere and everywhere cheaply.
I have hella replacements in my 110, which are quite nice.
If you want to spend serious money you can swap to LED headlights (see a couple of recent threads).
Any idea how much to replace a headlight lens in a 94 Defender? The whole thing has shattered, but luckily the glass is all stick intact. All suppliers have now closed for the day, just wondering what I'm up for.
While I'm at it, is there any other better options than genuine/after market standard replacement?

I recently put HID's into my Discovery and they are great! Not sure on the cost of LED's but the HID's run at about $200.

Are HIDs legal in a Defender? Can you buy them off the shelf in 7" format, or do you replace the bulbs etc? NFI about headlights, as you can probably tell.
Several threads in the forum relevant to you question. Have a look at the most recent for starters: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130...id-lights.html

You could fit 7" crystal headlights that take H4 globes, see here
Bright Light Auto Parts - Head Light Replacment Parts
or here for same thing

Don't use the cheap 7" headlights that most places sell though. They are garbage. I bought a pair after a sealed beam failed (don't know why it was a sealed beam in the first place). One had the locating feet so far out of place is wouldn't fit, and the other did just fit, but the reflector was garbage compared against the old original lucas reflector on the other side. I'm now running two of the old lucas headlights. I pulled one from an old rangie.
Also, don't get plastic headlights. If you run brighter bulbs they may melt.
I bought a pair of IPF H4 lens/reflector units for my RRc and find them superior spread and focus to the OEM Lucas H4 units. Hella H4 units are also good. (I think ARB IPF are agents, although I bought mine from Graeme Cooper.)
One thing I did find on one of my RRc is that over the years the the retainer had bent or something and so the headlamp was loose in the fitting and with subsequent failure of the globe filaments
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
I have Hella inserts in mine, and they work well.
Cheers
