Making my 110 look ten years younger

I have a green 110 and have the horrid 90's defender side stickers

But was worried about taking them off as I was worried they were going to leave a line of good paint compared to the old sun faded green paint

But today I decided to try it and have a go

So here is before and after

And after a little work with the misses hair dryer

Well done! I bet you are well pleased with that outcome.

Now all you need to do is buy a bonnet with a bump in it and take off the Tdi stickers and there will be another 5 years taken off.

... no ... stick with the bonnet you have and add a spare wheel to it and add character to it

I am just about to do the same with my white Defender. How much cut and polishing did you have to do to get rid of any paint mark and what did you use?
    Thanks... David

Strange to some, but I actually think the sticker looks more... original

In fact, I'd actually rather replace the sticker with a new one than remove it altogether. I think without the sticker it looks a bit bare.

Thinking of doing the same. It is easily reversible should you want the authentic Tdi look.

My 07/1997 built 110 wagon was purchased by me in February 2001.

It had no stickers on it anywhere nor could I find any evidence of them previously being there.

    Hi
I just used supa cheap cut and polish and it was a very quick wipe over no real hard work. The hardest bit was getting off the old glue. Some of it had stayed on the car. Got some good stuff from bunnings to get rid of that

IMHO you have made it look 40 or 50 years older.

At first glance, it looks just like my 1973 Series III LWB, apart from the colour.

I fact there doesn't seem to be much to distinguish it from the Series IIs I first saw in the middle of last century.

    I like the stickers.
