    Mudflaps - options for offroad

I've got to fit some rear mudflaps to the county to keep my engineer happy.

Has anyone come up with a good way to make sure they don't get torn off while offroad. Either a quick removal setup where they are just secured by pins or something similar and you remove/refit when required, or a good way to tie them up and keep them out of the way?

Biggest problem I've had with mudflaps on my 110, is that the metal bracket that holds them pulls out of the aluminium side panel to which it's attached. My LR guru, put a right angle strengthener into the side panel to prevent this, and it's worked well since.

I think if I were doing extreme off roading I'd look at the 90" setup where they fasten the mud flaps to the rear cross member, and I'd use some soft rubber sheeting so that when you use it as a plow it will just fold out of the way.

Alternatively - just fit the standard mud flaps until you get the engineering certificate, and then take them off after that's been given. ;-)

    hear hear

I drilled out the rivets holding the mudflaps and replaced with bolts and wing nuts for a quick removal
