    Comprehensive Vehicle check

Before I launch head long into the 85 Isuzu County Build up I would like to go to a specialist to have it checked out thouroughly including body , any rust issues chassis , Isuzu Diesel , driveline etc and getting a comprehensive report done.

I would most likely also give them my list and specs (or brief ) for a quote on the extensive works I would like done.

I'm talking about $15-$20k worth of work here maybe.

Preferably around the Melbourne area and with a loan car available.

I wouldn't rule out anyone in Country or regional Vic if they are good.

Happy to leave it with them for up to a week for the report if that's what it takes but wouldn't want to spend more than a day or two of labor for the test and report.

As for getting the work done eventually I am happy to leave it for weeks if necessary and maybe tackle it in a couple of bites over say six months.

With all due respect to the following centres , I probably would not use any of them for various reasons.

    LR Dealers

Next step down service/repair companies charging over $ 100/hr

One particular repair centre in Victoria who shall remain nameless and is infamous for keeping vehicles for an inordinate amount of time ( years in some cases)

If anyone has some suggestions then feel free to post em here or send me a PM.

    Thanks

Had an interesting experience with a Sydney dealer. I was selling my Defender. The bloke looking at it took it to the dealer to give it the once over. He came back with their report and their figures to repair it to top notch condition.

I was impressed, they were spot on. Their quote wasn't too bad considering they were supplying the parts.

In comparison, the drive up and inspect guys were woeful - including mistaking weeping axle seal for leaking brake fluid, even after test drive and me pointing out recent receipt for brake rebuild.

Good point abadd but I doubt any of the dealers down here would have anyone left that knew anything about a 1985 County especially an Isuzu.

I guess I am looking for some one with a wealth of knowledge about mechanics and body work and 110 Isuzu Countys.
