i think they would be worth about the same S.H or the puma would be worth only a tiny bit more then the 90, 90s realy hold there money,

they will both tow well,, the td5 will love to tow if you chip it, i tow a heavy ski boat with mine and im very very happy how it tows,

Keep the SVX….

There are always 90’s available for sale on most of the bigger car sale web sites, but rarely do you see an SVX. I keep a bit of look out and haven’t seen one for heaps-n-heaps.

The SVX will be worth a lot more than the 90, now and into the future, so it might come down to how much extra you need for your new boat.

In any case the SVX is the keeper, it is very unlikely that LR will put as much effort into another D’fer as they did with the SVX and there can only ever be one 60th anniversary.

Allan - I've got a TD5 90 and a Puma 110, so not as high spec as your SVX, but I'd have no hesitation in chopping the 90.

90's are great little cars, but not anywhere near as useful as a 110. I generally take the 90 when I go into town, or if it just me and the puppy going somewhere, but as soon as you need to cart some gear it is pretty useless. It tows a 2 tonne trailer no worries, but it's just that it is only a two seater and can't hold all that much gear or as many people.

My thoughts anyway......

What I find with the 110 is that the only time I want to drive it is going away long term, around town I drive it very little. I think most long term trips we do are to Exmouth ect fishing so most of the stuff we take will, if I sell the 110, go in the big alloy boat. I want my big engel fridge built into the seat box in the boat so that would save room in the 90. On other away trips the 90 has just enough room for a weekend camp for the wife and myself. It just seems wrong to have the Puma parked day after day, not being used. I spray its spider webs every couple of days and the wife drives it to work once a week.
When we bought the 90 my wife questioned the need for two Defenders, think I should have listened.

Hey - don't go posting things like that! My missus might get ideas that she's not the only one thinking like this

Surely, you can never have too many Land Rovers.....

Although the 90 has the same towing capacity on paper as the 110, if you are going to tow a big heavy boat with the 90 regularly, it would be a good idea to upgrade the brakes to 110 spec.

Hi Ben,

Afaik they should be the same on any TD5 90 as the 110/130, Any sold over here anyway.
