Average prices
Hi all.
I was wondering if I could get a few average price ranges thrown at me for dual cab (post 2000) tub defender.
I know that's quite broad but i'm trying to get a rough idea on year, amount of k's and then price....
i.e; average quality 2000 model with 100000kms is roughly $x amount
top quality 2000 model with 100000km's is roughly $x amount
and so on...
Cheers!

redbook is a good guide - as long as you add a couple of thousand onto it's listed prices. The reason for this is the supply isn't there, but the demand generally is so they tend to sell higher than redbook suggests.
Personally a budget of 20k to a tad over would be around the mark for a decent example.

I don't think you will find too many of that vintage with 100k on the clock - mostly around 200k.
I watched the market for a few months before buying - I think $20k is about the going rate for a decent td5 with 200k on the clock, moving up and down depending on condition, age, extras, kms etc
I paid more than that for my 1999 td5 due to very low kms (24k) and custom tray but the 'market value' the insurers put on it is more like $14k or something.
I'd agree that going rates tend to be quite a few thou higher than red book prices.
