Ran the Puma heater for the fist time today

    Morning,
I ran the heater for the first time today. No fan just heat (Puma has option for switching from fresh air outside to come in or re-cycle) on fresh air.......very cosy. Well then after about ten minutes it became quite hot in the cabin so I had to bail out of the heat.

Much better than the 98 Defender and quicker to heat. I drove a Td5 to and through Old Andado and the desert and reckon the Puma (heater) is superior to it as well.

So for heating and cooling the Puma is tops of the Defender range for me.

    Regards,
    PeterW

Ha Ha yeah I've often wondered if there is a place cold enough in the world where you could use the puma heater on full hot!!! certainly not here in perth..

I'm curious to know the temp in Townsville where you had to turn on the heater compared to the rest of us. And what you'd have the heater set to when you come out and the interior temp is <5 like this morning.

    clubagreenie,
I guess you will have to just believe me but it was about 12deg C, and chilling. It's only in the mid 20s now (1320hr ish). In the 98 Def it takes till I am nearly at work fighting our peak 10min traffic!

Don't think it got to 10 degrees in Hobart today - hasn't for nearly a week. My D1 & D2 heaters do cope, but I can see a puma selling point for the missus when I need to upgrade!!

    RobHay,
Yes in Townsville, and it has been cold. This is much colder than what previous years have been. Or just maybe I am getting older and sooking quite a bit!!

Anyhow I gues my main intent was to highlight the good heating and cooling of the Puma.

I am going to Fraser next month......(my mindes eye pictures camping with onshore winds keeping me firmly fixed within a cold weather sleeping bag or driving enlessly in the car with heater arked up).

    Cheers,
    PeterW

Been bloody cold up north too

We had a thermometer sitting on a bench at work all yesterday. It didn't top 4 degrees all day in the shed. Be nice if the boss invested in a heater

I had 3 beanies and about 4 layers under my overalls and I was still cold
