Ooh no you have done it now.You are well hooked now.
Congratulations, my first car was also a LR series 2A shorty.
I was in love with her as well had a great time with it for many years![]()
Hey Guys,
I'm 18 and I just had to pick myself up a Defender for what is my first car and I've fallen in love. It's just... brilliant. Yes it does **** me off sometimes with Land Rover's interesting ways of attaching various parts together and such but over all - how can a fault it?
I have so many plans for her - I'm going to start building a small kitchenette in the back with a sink - 240V power, a small working area and a place to mount my radios (HF and C. I'm working on installing a large 3G antenna, so I can drive around with wifi in the cabin (Gen Y). My best mate has the intention of cooking the driving crew sausages in the back whilst we navigate the beast through Australia.
Anyways, I think I forget to mention what she was - she's a '93 110 200Tdi, and hopefully it'll be running on VegeOil soon!
I posted some pics of my mates and I being fools purely in the excitement of owning a Deefer... I just had to share them with someone

Well done mate.Do you know it's service history?,if in doubt I'd be booking it in for a cooling system service and do all the oils, belts hoses and give it a good grease. You have to give her a name also. Pat

Welcome mate,
Always good to have another p plater on the forum
Hey! Great first car! There's a few younger Landy owners in Sydney, what part of this city are you in? Looks like Ryde bridge...
Come out on a forum trip and get your wheels dirty!
That's iron cove mate

Nice model Alex, a good 200Tdi 110 is a keeper you can hand down to YOUR kids if you look after it.
So no more lying on the bonnet without checkerplate or you'll dent it some more, for starters
JC
Its good to see young people with brains!!
Not only can you go wherever you want, you also have a car that you can work on yourself and the cops will leave you alone. Even with the P plate.
The chances of getting done for speeding in a Defender are pretty slim.
