    Defender Door Hinge Pins

Is there any known fix for the dreaded door pin sag on a Defender, apart from replacing the whole hinge and then also having to paint? Has anyone done a modification to fix this. ATM it is only one door.
    Cheers

I took off my worst hinge, and reamed out the holes and turned up a pin to suit. Couple of the others need doing, but have not gotten round to it. Helps to oil the hinges every service.

Would be god if I had access to a metal lathe. What I may try is to get some sort of suitable pin or bolt 4/5/6 mm in High Tensile, drill out the sleeve and go along this line, maybe recess a nyloc in the bottom and a grease nipple in the back. Will see. Will probablly get a new set so I can play with on of the existing hinges.
    Thanks

    Thanks.
I am waiting on a quote for a set, but looking on the net seem to want around 200GBP plus freight.

Wait what? All you need for the conversion I linked to is some bolts, drill and drill bits, tap and if desired grease nipples. Even Repco will be cheaper than 200 squid for that...

Thanks for the link. That is what I was after. Thought you were initially talking about replacements as I did not have time to check the link yesterday, as slow work computer would not load page.
    Thanks for the link.

Everytime my pins decide to push themselves out, I pull them out, douse them in bearing grease and re-insert. Seems to do the trick for a little while. If you're after new hinges, PM me and I'll put you in contact with someone who can do a decent deal.
