Thread: Interior Lights coming on...PUMA

I've got 147,000kms on my 2007 Puma now, and I've had a lot less woes after warranty end, than before, so for those who have concerns, they are basically good reliable vehicles (once the poor build quality is sorted).

Anyway, at the moment, I have both interior lights flickering on briefly while driving (usually over bumps). Does anyone know the likely cause?

Also, are the door switches are on the battery feed side or earth side? Maybe one of them could be faulty?

Any help would be appreciated.

I checked the door switches. Each metal switch actuator is adjusted right. Likewise, each switch seems to operate properly...switch contacts engage at the very end of the switch button movement, meaning that each door needs to be open to allow between 3" and 8" width of daylight to enter. It seems most unlikely that it could be door latch adjustment, as and such movement would not cause the switch buttom to move even close to the travel limit.

Does anyone know if the switches are on the earth side of the light? If so, I may have a dodgy wire earthing against the body somewhere? If not, I can't think of other causes.

The door switches provide the earth contact when closed (door open), so yes, they are on the earth side of the light.
