    sediment bowl thread

    hey all,

does anyone know the thread size for the plastic drain in the bottom of the sediment bowl? I have heard a few broken and let people down. Id like to replace it with a socket cap screw and fibre washer

    cheers,
    Serg

Serge, the plastic plug is plastic for a reason,so it does strip and saves the thread in the bowl. The plugs are readily available for $7 and a smere of grease on them each time you remove it will stop it from getting stuck and simply replace it each year before it goes hard. The people who have trouble with them never take them out so when they do get full of crap and then try and screw it out it snaps and then they come on here bitching about crappy LR designs.Just buy two and fit one with grease and the other goes in the cubby box.
