I've got the Tekonsha P3.. but if your camper has LED's you need to get a Trailer adapter module... because the car is European it has an in-built diagnostic system that will not recognise that a trailer fitted with LED lights is connected.. which is why they are flashing..

The LED Adaptor Module fixes this problem..

See this link for what I am talking about..

I am not quite sure why you haven't had to use one.. we are in the caravan industry and all European cars have needed to have this fitted when the trailer they are towing has LED lights..

I'm not up on what Ultimate Campers use for their tail lights but are you sure they are LED's? Sometimes the lights may look like LED's but are not.. Perhaps they have the unit already in the camper somewhere (although this would be very unusual)..

This link explains it much better than me..

Where have you mounted your Brake Controller in your Puma? Obviously, this will be dependent on the type of Brake Controller you have.

I think this thread is best answered with photos - and we all love photos don't we?

He is one that Drover has sent me to kick it off...

Here is mine, but you'll need a bit of hacksaw work

To resurrect an old thread. We had a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 fitted to my wife's MY15 Defender today. The cover over the steering column is a different shape to the previous models and the unit fits into the little shelf to the right of the steering wheel without any problems.

I'll post some photo's when we get it back from the Dealer's (air con not working )

I'm currently making inquiries to see if I can fit the same cover to my MY14 110 rather than cutting the existing one.

I bought a Tekonsha P3 and then discovered it wouldn't fit on the shelf next to steering wheel, so it ended up on the passenger side, which is not ideal. The Tekonsha has to be mounted horizontally for the brake sensor to work properly.
Next time I would probably go for the remote Redarc unit which should easily fit to the right of the steering wheel.
