    vibration after 2 inch lift

Iv just lfted my car 2 inches my car ran perfectly before the lift but now at lower speeds it seems to vibrate. The steering still seems to be all good but i havent done a wheel alignment. Do u think that would fix it or do i need castor correction or an adjustable panhard rod? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

I had the same problem after installing OME on my 2003 TD5. A double cardon front prop-shaft fixed the problem.

    Cheers

I purchased a second hand but new/never used Brit -Part D/C Shaft for my PUMA a couple of months ago.

Tried to fit it over the long weekend and found that it doesn't fit (to short)...doh....

From memory, Td5 & 300tdi front props are same, 200tdi props are a different length.

If you haven't sorted out the castor correction yet you will need to do that and then look at the front prop.

I will get pillaried for this but I actually Dont understand everybody want to go & lift their 4WD (unless fitting 35s or something.)

I bought my 2004 TD5 Def about 6 months ago, It came with a 2" lift & the same vibration . I did an articulation test & was dissapointed with the crossup.

Replaced the springs with standard 110 springs result being no more vibration & the car will go an extra foot or so up the ramp. Much nicer all round.
and in extreme situations less likely to roll too as the CG is back where it should be.

Thats happens when the lift is done without extra travel in the shocks and all the other gear needed for extra articulation. It's not cheap getting that 2-3 inch lift correct.

It is just your vehicle's way of telling you that it was perfectly happy with the height that Land Rover made it and that now you will have to spend a whole lot of time and money to make it happy again.
