    Bloody parts substitutions



    What is it that suppliers don't understand when I say I want xyz part number, not (and I spell it out) xxz ?

    I ordered two new uni's, Hardy Spicer # K5-A757, the HD version of a 1300 series uni.
    I specifically said NOT a K5-LR4 (and no crap, off brands either)

    Guess what turned up today ??







    Another delivery came with half the order missing, but I forgave that rep as he does look after me and bought me morning tea

    Well, no big surprises there!!!

    I well recommend shopping around. I got prices ranging from $21 to $129 for K5-LR4, and $55 to $189 (each!) for Hardy Spicer A757.

    It's been said before in these parts that front of front is the one that cops the most workout, and this accords with my experience.......

    Sick of it as well, found a bloke in scone, really good and understands. Wont put up with crap parts and will chase better quality stuff. Looks after me as well.

    Got to be joking!!! Steve F. he is pedantic, I like that when he is doing any work for me. I know it will be right. Just did up the heads off Mum disco, very nice job. Ended up chasing down the proper valve seals for it from the states, and genuine gaskets. He can do alot more. Drives a Hilux though. Had a 101 for a while and like it. The one the 101ron has so not anti land rover.
