    Hi Chops,

Over the cup weekend I had the chance to have a good drive of a Puma 110.
It was low range off road only, but I was very impressed, the six speed was great, even if I did get a bit lost in it on occasion. The motor was smooth and had great bottom end, not quite Isuzu bottom end but great just the same. It felt like it would just crawl up a wall in low 2. The only hiccup I had was a low2 hill that I hit in low3 with only 1000rpm on the clock and the centre diff unlocked, the traction control kicked in hard on the front wheels and it stalled, on the up side the anti stall lets you have one foot on the brake one on the clutch, start it up and let out the clutch and off it goes up the hill, oh and you can take your foot of the brake now if you like.

It's owner has done 60,000Km plus and all has been good except twice it has dropped in power after a hard heavy load climb, once the load drops off all is good again, nether time it's logged a fault.
He has owed 300Tdi's Td5's chipped and not and Isuzu's and he thinks it's the bee knees.

    Thumbs up WOOHOO

G'day Tony,, and everybody else whos had a hand in with advice etc,,

Well,, the decision's been made,, the deeds been done,,

We have purchased a new 110 C/C Defender Ute,, Stornaway Grey.

We took a new 110 wagon for a test drive,, smooth as,, and quite a nimble unit,, we want to be able to have a detatchable canopy, thus, the RTT will sit on it, and will be able to be detached when we're staying for more than a night, so we can play in the bush without having to pack everything up .

Thanks everybody for your words,, hope I can get a chance to show it to you soon,, (picking her up this Saturday morning,,

    Cheers Chops,,

So is it a 110 or a proper sized Defender?

It'll be a 110,, decided I didn't like the length of the 130, and as there is only the two of us, I dont think we really need the extra space/size.

Yes, when we're up there, we'll have to catch up,, the 25 of this month we'll be up, and again at Xmas, at which point we'll be up there for a week or so,,

    Chops.
