I reccomend nulon synthetic, use the viscosity index suitable for the ambient conditions.

						I know I did a post recently re "best engine oil for a Puma" and recieved very helpful advice. I also expect this question has also been done to death also. But with so many oils on the market these days I would like the opinion of people who know before I spend SHMBO's money.

I have used the Valvoline Synpower 5w40 in my td590 since its been in Australia.
It seems to be a good oil as far as i can see.
I also use it a td5 d2 I maintain.
(and the slightly heavier version in our v8 d2)
Another vote for Nulon full sick, err, fully synth.
I use all Nulon products in my TD5 Disco
