Col ... the Rhino legs for a D2 use the S4 clamp.

Different clamp plate required on same leg t/s a Defer. A DS8 I believe.

Thanks, It turns out you and Bushie are correct. I checked the Rhinorack website and then phoned them up to speak to someone to comfirm it.

Basically I had the wrong straps, (the metal bit that goes around the bottom of the gutter.)

The S4 was what I had on my R210 legs, I need the S8 straps. For anyone ordering or wanting to order the same correct part the part number is 'ST8' if you already have the legs and are just changing the straps.

Thanks for everyones input, the roof bars should be good from now on.
