    Sad start to Christmas.

After working to many hours and playing just as much some how managed to fall asleep 5 min from home the other night and now have a written off 96 defender 130.
im ok just a little sore in the shoulder and neck, but more the pain in the arse of not having my 130 for the holidays.
So now on the hunt for another 130... would prefer a 300tdi as no electrics but am considering a td5 just not to sure. or if anyone knows of a 130 with a good body and the rest is shagged im interested.
I will also be wreaking my old girl when i get a new one or for sale complete.
now to get on my bike for christmas but hard to carry the camping gear though...

    Sorry to hear that Tadz,

Main thing is you were not hurt and you can still enjoy x-mas with your family.

At the end of the day, there a lots of 130's out there for you to choose from....

    Cheers

Sad to hear about the lose, atleast you're alright though! I had a similar incident once when working 60 odd hours in 4 days, luckily it was just losing the mirror on the side of a truck still wasnt happy about it though. It really puts things in perspective I think and makes you revaluate everything, i know i now have a second think about it if i've been low on sleep lately.

Hopefully it doesn't put to much of a kink in the xmas plans and you can still go away, good luck with the hunt for a new vehicle.

    Merry Christmas otherwise though

    130 in trouble

    Rotten luck Tazd

What body configuration is the damaged one and which is the type of body that you prefer to have next ?

Good to read that you are not badly hurt.

Damn tazd . The most important thing is that you are fine and no one else was injured. Good luck with the search/rebuild. Think of it as a new beginning; with a Defender the possibilities are endless .

looking for a 130 dual cab, either flat tray or tub. damage to mine is drivers side doors, snorkel. mirror possible chassis twisted. the doors just dont seem to line up right any more, something has gone wrong with rear drive... diff or transfer not to sure yet.
I know how lucky i am and the simple fact of the damage to the defender and that i just got out with out thinking to much about it is amazing.

Please everyone have a safe and happy Christmas and new year and if your a little sleepy pull over......

Hard luck ! Very lucky YOU didn't get hurt though - or worse.

What does the insurance company think happened?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
