    Radio not tuning

I have been searching and searching to point I wonder what the search function actually does BUT

I was reading a post the other day about how the 'new' lr radios are not set correctly , and you can change something and reception is better?

Anyone know the post or the answer. Trying to listen to the cricket is painful.

    Thanks.

Ps nobody found out if you can add an aux outlet into the existing stereo did they?

    Radio not tuning

    Hi jimb,

have you checked that the radio is set for the correct region?

It is probably preset to work in Europe (EUR on the radio display). If so, you have to change the setting to ASI by holding down the volume knob for a couple of seconds, then turning the knob until it displays the region. Then change EUR to ASI.

    Regards, Al.

Beauty. Will give it a shot. Thanks. Last week I had the transistor in the passenger seat! Old school.

Reception in country areas will also be significantly improved.

Re an AUX outlet, unless you can do it yourself, I would expect it would be cheaper to buy a new radio. I simply use an FM Transmitter which connects to an iPod or similar and rebroadcasts the iPod output as an FM signal at a frequency selected by you. You simply tune the radio to that frequency. I even connect my UHF radio to the Transmitter and listen to it via the vehicle speakers. Transmitters ar not expensive and you can pick them up of Ebay.

    Cheers
