Where's the Defender wave gone?

Had an interesting wave exchange just 20 minutes ago. I pulled up behind a Lotus Europa at the lights at Wattle & Waratah in Haberfield. We both turned right and as I pulled up alongside, I gave him the thumbs up. He waved back and said "i've got one too", meaning a Defender. "It's a Ninety, same colour scheme as yours". How cool is that? :D

Grey Defender in the Landsborough area on Saturday. Friendly waves.

The last week or so has been good for waves. It has included a 5 from 5 day last week and a red 90 coming down from the mountains on Sunday, but I got a particularly good one from both driver and passenger in a dark green 110 in Turramurra this arvo.

I saw the back of a Series II-III ex military this arvo parked in a Narangba driveway. I've seen it on the road a few times but with me not being in my Landy yet I think the waves go unnoticed. If your on here and your on the road and see a guy in an old Nissan 4x2 Navara waving it's just me. By the way it looks like a very nice truck. I'd like to know more about it.
