Waved at a lovely green with white roof 110 on Elliot Ave near the Zoo today. Got a startled look in return ha ha ;)
Did a trip from Mackay, to Goodiwindi, Yeman, then over to Ballina, and north up through Tambourine, Ipswich and then home. Mostly back roads as much as possible. Saw 4 or 5 defenders pretty sure they all waved! Saw LOTS of those funny Ranger rover/discovery thingos too.... but that's a different thread! hahaha
BTW, I was the Keswick 90 towing a No5 w/kayaks on top.
And a note, if your going to Mount Warning, there is a warning at the bottom that the hill is not appropriate for towing... IF you have anything bigger than a 90 and a no5 dont tow up there.... you'll have a hell of a time turning it round in the carpark - it's full and there is bugger all room.
2882 Km from Perth to Broome (with a couple side trips) over 6 days.
Defenders 15 - Waves 15
Disco's 52 - Waves 12 (not counting the hundreds in the camp grounds and test stops)
RRS 18 - Waves 1
Need I say more?

Coober Peedy to Mildura today:
2 Defenders - 2 waves
1 Disco 2 ute -1 wave
2 D2s - 2 waves
1 D4 - 1 wave
Lost count of the Bushmasters, Unimogs, Mack Flintstones Perenties and Gwagons but, 100% on the Perenties, about 80% of the Gwagons and a very poor response from the Unimogs ( must think the are too good )
Most of the Bushmasters and Macks waved....

coming back from the skin cancer clinic this a.m drew up opposite a nice looking 6 wheeler ambulance waiting to turn into the road I was exiting - decided not to wave as I was in the Ford but struggled manfully with the phone to take a picture and when I got home - all I had was a picture of my door pillar:(
cheers,
D
