I got a wave from a D1 towing a caravan across the Hay plains yesterday.
The Defender with QLD plates and RFSV style mirrors I followed turned off before I could wave.

So there I was this arvo rattling down a gravel road in the old Bedford truck, when around the corner comes a dual cab defer and I automati lifted the hand and bugger me got a good solid return :) :) So there ya go, not just a defender wave, its a any thing friendly wave .
Bet that smile lasted a while. :D
This afternoon on Southern Cross Drive, going to work, exchanged greetings with a dark red,(Dare I say Maroon? That sent my blood cold.) Extreme. On the way back 40 Minutes later almost in the same spot ,shared a wave with a back with Black with Pack Puma. :D
Gave the two finger steering wheel wave whilst I pulled over and on the phone to a black 90 headed into Samford between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Samford Rd. Anybody on here? Driver had a puzzled look, possibly because I was in my old Navara ute towing my builder's trailer.
I gave a wave to a black 110 heading into Lane Cove Tunnel as I was coming out yesterday. My wife ask me who I was waving at, I told her the Defender, she said "but you're not in a Defender" I said yeah but it's a Land Rover wave. She just rolled her eyes at me.

I go a full wave, arm out the window if it's not to cold!
I think it's just fun. Shared amongst like minded vehicle owners. I really don't need to hang a tag on it. That's looking a bit to deep for my thinking. It makes me and mine smile and maybe brightens someone else's day.
I was driving into Seymour yesterday taking my boss to Toyota and waved at a nice Defender heading to Puckapunyal. My boss had a good chuckle and said 'I don't get waves in the Hi-Lux' I just gave him that 'go figure' look haha.
I wave at all series and Defenders, any Boxy Landrover really. I don't tend to wave at other models. It's not to be rude. I really like Discoverys it's just, to me anyway, a Defender/Series wave.
