Driving down Stirling Hwy tonight a matching black 110 to mine drove past. Driver and passenger both gave hearty waves. By chance I then ended up next to them at some lights in Mosman Park and we had a brief but good chat and some mutual admiration for our mighty beasts!
In a small camping area in Alice, there were 4 Defenders, 3 Tojos, a Patrol, a Prado, a Subaru and a backpacker's van. I didn't know anyone, but the Defender driver's were the friendliest!
Had a few waves over the last couple weeks. I just haven’t been on here a lot lately but I thought I’d report a return wave from a black 110 tonight on Tinks Road, Narre Warren at 5:45pm.
I exchanged waves with what looked like a dark green county on Windsor Rd at Windsor yesterday. I was towing a gal' trailer with a bit of turf in it. Anyone know who that might have been?
Having just recently purchased my first Defender (TD5 110), I'm new to this waving thing. I got to work after my first drive and rid the boys some random in another Defender waved at me (I did return the wave), I was informed it's a Land Rover thing. Since then, every defender has waved at me except for one new 90. I thought it was a bit odd on the first day, since then I've grown to enjoy it and proudly continue the tradition.
I'm new to this Defender wave thing and I was just as giddy as a kid getting it's first ice cream.
Waved on a red Defender90 while I was on my way to Ikea at Richmond and one Defender90 that seemed to be in a dark green color on my way back last Sunday afternoon. two in the same day!
Great wave from a green 110 towing a boat stopped beside the Victoria Hwy NT.
