Not sure what the etiquette is, but I wave to all series, 101 and Defender shaped Land Rovers regardless. Even return waves from Discos and the odd classic RR if i see them. With regards to the response from defence force vehicles, I think zero to date. Sometime you get an odd look..
No etiquette. Wave at will! 😄
I've had a 100% success rate with Defence Personnel, and big waves at that.[biggrin]
I decided to drive the Defender to work today to cheer me up a bit.
Exchanged a big wave, smiles and thumbs up with a lovely lady in a green Td5 110 on Pennant Hills Rd.
Made my day. :)
Had several waves with Defender drivers around Lismore in recent days.
Only people who don't wave back on the Gold Coast are the muppets from Guzman Y Gomez who use defenders as company vehicles. I even find myself waving when driving the missus Fiesta [thumbsupbig]
I used to wave all the time but seeing I have 2 broken defenders in the shed no one waves at me anymore.
My arm is getting sore from reaching in my pocket for money to fix the bloody things.
Love Land Rovers but it is getting ridiculous the poor quality of the new ones.

100% wave success rate on the way to Anglesea today - 3 Pumas, 1 ex army 110 and a 110 County on my way home again.
Got a wave from a D90 today also!!
