Did a recent work trip towing the van from Brisbane -> Rockhampton -> Emerald -> Longreach -> Cloncurry -> Hughenden -> Ayr & back down the Bruce to Brisbane & didn't see another Land Rover.
Where the bloody hell are you all?

That's amazing. I have driven quite a lot in Southern Queensland in recent years and have been pleasantly surprised by the number of Defenders I have seen on the Bruce between Gympie and Brisbane.
I just assumed that most of the members of this forum lived in the region.....
Off to Melbourne tomorrow - be interesting to see how many I see, and how many wave. (Blue County with two short light bars on the bullbar.)
Just heading through Maitland to afternoon , in typical TDI summer fashion vents open , windows down. Gave a big out the window wave to a new grey Deefa . Nothing. Probably enjoying his aircon, wishing he had front vents.an it was another 130 as well. Disgraceful
Got to Melbourne yesterday. Saw no Defenders on the way, got no waves. Waved at a D1, but no response.
Maybe they were used to the momentary raising off the steering wheel with the forefinger.
Lazy sods![smilebigeye]
Got a big wave from the white TDI 130 in the main street of Yass this morning

Tote
Got a slow ‘lazy’ wave from a dark grey 110 west bound on the north Richmond bridge this afternoon.
Haha. We need "My other car is a Defender." stickers.
I've missed a few waves recently and always feel bad about it. Been caught in my head too much lately!
Got a wave from a bloke in an old FJ40 the other day... "Close enough." I thought and gave him one back.
Also copped a wave from a smokeshow blonde in a Disco Sport yesterday... or so I thought. Turns out she was waving to the car behind me... or we were all just waving back wishing it was for us, either or.
